The client, an innovative educator, identified a pressing need for a mobile application that would enable real-time tracking of student behavior during classroom sessions. Their primary objective was to improve classroom management by ensuring minimal disruption while tracking student conduct accurately and efficiently. The challenge lay in creating a user-friendly app that could be smoothly integrated with existing data management systems such as Excel. The required solution had to be mobile-friendly, allowing educators to easily select from rosters of up to six different classes. The app needed to provide functionality for educators to quickly assign behavior points to students, each with a simple ‘+’ or ‘–’ selection, while optionally recording reasons for the behavior logged. The project also demanded an intuitive user interface design and robust functionality to ensure real-time tracking and seamless Excel integration to allow dynamic updates without requiring technical skills.
