Scope of Work



The primary goal was to develop a centralized app to tackle property tracking and inventory management challenges within the real estate sector. The client, a leading firm in the industry, needed a system that could effectively consolidate real estate asset data and monitor inventory status. Challenges included disparate data sources, inefficient processes, and limited visibility into asset statuses, all of which affected decision-making capabilities. The project's scope encompassed creating an intuitive, user-friendly interface that could integrate smoothly with existing systems. Critical to this was developing robust inventory modules capable of supporting automated stock tracking and real-time updates. Additionally, the scope involved ensuring rigorous security measures were in place to protect sensitive property and inventory data while enabling seamless data management across various departments. The solution provided a fully customized Odoo app developed to meet the client's specific needs. The project commenced with setting up a secure server environment, fortified through measures like Fail2ban to protect against unauthorized access. PostgreSQL was chosen for its robust handling of large data volumes, ensuring the system could manage the demands of dynamic property tracking and inventory management. Key modules of the application include Property Tracking, which allows real-time updates of property details, and Inventory Management Integration, offering streamlined inventory processes with automated stock tracking. Additional features such as PDF Report Generation enable comprehensive reporting through Wkhtmltopdf, while IDE Integration using PyCharm enhances development efficiency and ease of maintenance. This architecture not only supports current operations but is also designed to scale with the organization, maintaining data integrity and accessibility. By configuring the Odoo Community Edition 17, the application aligns perfectly with the client’s expectations and operational needs, ensuring a seamless transition to more efficient management practices.
