Scope of Work
The primary vision of the project was to develop a telehealth solution that could address the challenges associated with traditional healthcare delivery. The client's goal was to create a platform that would make it easier for patients to access quality healthcare services from the comfort of their own homes. Key challenges included ensuring the application could handle high volumes of simultaneous users without compromising on performance or security. Furthermore, the application needed to support a wide range of devices and platforms, given the varied patient demographic. The necessity to integrate a secure video conferencing solution for real-time consultations was paramount, as was the need for a robust backend capable of managing both patient and provider profiles seamlessly. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection laws was also critical. Our Solution
To meet the outlined objectives, the solution implemented involved designing a user-friendly Android-based application integrated with OpenTok and WebRTC for flawless video communication. The app's architecture was built on the scalable Grails framework, allowing it to adapt and grow with increasing demand.
